At least the so called ambassador managed a suit and tie this time, but brown shoes with a blue suit, good gawd how standards have dropped, ambassadors used to be properly dressed, not now.

Not sure but the vaccines came too late for the 46 Thai nationals who died from Covid in the UK in part due to people refusing to wear a mask or socially isolate.

As opposed to not a single UK expat or tourist dying in Thailand.

The Thais will be vaccinating all the Brits over here.

You just have to wait your turn. No queue jumping.

Were those Thai's who died always wearing a mask or socially isolating? Only you're using that as a part reason to others around them being at fault.

Thought not just checking as it seemed you were laying the blame on others, just wondering if they were also doing the same.

So on the day I went to a private hospital , Bangkok Christian ' and it was taking registration for covid vaccine  but I was told that Government says private hospitals cannot let foreigners register yet ! Mr Davison needs to get his out out his ass and speak some home truths!  Unbelievable meeting

Something along the lines of: We invented the stuff, we paid for the research, development and testing of the stuff, we gave you the recipe and rights to make the stuff, the least you can do is make it available to the expatriate Britons who are living here!

No, I don't really suppose so...

In the UK it is known as the "Kent Strain"

The scientists did a good job back tracing it to there and it is now beyond any reasonable doubt that it mutated there in September of 2020.

You wouldn't be from the UK by any chance would you?

Cool, no issues in calling this the Chinese plague then.

Apparently "China virus" is racist but "UK strain" isn't.

I don't think it could be described as a plague.

But it is beyond reasonable doubt that 2019-nCov originated in Wuhan China.

A few Chinese tried denying it and were critised rightly for it.

As did a few in the UK regarding B117.

It isn't really helpful in fighting it when you have deniers more concerned about face and trying to shift blame elsewhere than facing up to the reality of the terrible situation.

The UK should have closed their borders when they realised that it was a new highly contagious variant last year.

They didn't. And now the vast majority of cases in Thailand are B117, which personally affects my lifestyle, as well as most cases in northern India, the USA and other countries.

Thousands are dying daily. It is a real tragedy and getting worse.

I'm aware of that as was the case last year. However that was not my point as you well know

Well, last year was when it mutated. The more people who have it the more likely it is to mutate.

I think you are missing that point Brian.

According to who?

Millions of people are dying and you are worried about the PC brigade?

Not missing that point at all, that was not my point however and the point I raised was clear already or do I need to go back to the original post?

Kent isn't that the closest English county to mainland Europe excluding the Channel Islands?

Kent had/has been receiving a massive influx of illegal immigrants from mainland Europe throughout the pandemic and since long before

I have no idea if it is beyond reasonable doubt that a virus that that emerged from China did indeed mutate in England or not but virus' do mutate so it's possible

I am very proud of the scientific advances that the UK has made in fighting the global pandemic and I truly believe that they have saved many lives through their endeavour

You are correct I am indeed a proud Englishman

I forgot how many people died in the UK untill now thanks to denying chief muppet boris.

Can you remind me proud englishman ?

In the meanwhile he stands where he is because of his hard work and definitely was not born with a silver spoon in his mouth. He did a great job ( and I am not British)

Yes many died they made awful mistakes but I am still proud to be English

I think on the whole we do more good than damage for a country of less land mass and similar population as Thailand

Where you from Albert?

A few days ago, I wrote to the British Ambassador to Thailand (Brian Davidson) pointing out the racism involved in Thailand's decision to leave expats to the end of the queue when it comes to vaccinations and requesting him to register a strong protest with the Thai Government and Health authorities.   To his credit, he immediately replied, saying that he would be doing so.

I assume that this meeting was his opportunity to raise the matter.

I'm impressed when you said he immediately wrote back. I just wonder what he might have said to our illustrious leader.
