PHUKET: A New Zealand man was taken into care after he was found lying under a tree beside a small street in Srisoonthorn last night (May 9).

 

Lt Col Winai Yokprom, Deputy Commander of the Thalang Police, was notified of the man’s situation at about 9pm.

 

Officers from the Thalang Police along with a medical team from Thalang Hospital arrived at the scene, Soi Baan Nai Khlam in Moo 1, Srisoonthorn, to find the man wearing a blue T-shirt and black pants, asleep in long grass under the tree.

Sleeping under trees is a profession reserved for native Thai's.

jeez, if the Phuket News fit a webcam in my living room they will have 100s of stories. Me, the girlfriend, the kids, the maid, the dogs, the cat, we are all serial "offenders".

Sad innit, you had a bit much to drink, find a nice comfy spot under a tree to rest/ sober up, and them damned interfering plod come along and mess it up.????

I am sure only difference is that this guy was suspected of a hit and run before he went to sleep under the tree. Maybe wanted to lower the alcohol levels before confronting the police ?

I saw a falang sit down a few hours ago.  NOT on a chair!!!  I almost called the police, as the Thais must know these falangs are like loose wild animals!!!  to the zoo!!!!!

 

This guy should be deported, fined, jailed, gulag..........gives us all a bad name!!!

 

Let me get to my point........This is news and paints the falangs in a BAD way for a reason.  PATTERN.  Red flag.   Seeding the minds.   Creating a story.  

 

If you are reading this and not in prison, I suggest checking plane fights.

I can only your joke was based on you not taking into account the fact that he had done an hit and run. Many people are so lazy they don't even read the full article. I just assumed you were one of them as you did not mention the hit and run.

"As of last night officers had yet to confirm why the man was sleeping under the tree, but local residents reported that before he was found the man was riding a motorbike and had struck a car at a U-turn point nearby. He had allegedly fled the scene, and was later found asleep under the tree."

 

The key phrase here is  "He had allegedly fled the scene".

 

Nothing reported by the police that they had found a motorbike or any damaged vehicle, (or even if they looked for one)
