City Life Chiang Mai reported that special batches of Covid-19 vaccinations are being sourced for foreign residents of Chiang Mai.

It is hoped that all foreigners residing in the province will be vaccinated as early as June.

And it will be free.

The site said that you could email [email protected].

Or apply via Line at 0960138522 (also the number of an information hotline).

Alternatively register at Mor Phrom or a local hospital.

You'll need a photocopy of your passport page, proof of residential address and an email address.

The media said that the Chiang Mai Provincial Office is making a special bulk order.

When it arrives you will be instructed to go to a vaccination center at a hospital.

Further information from 053 211048 - 50.

Meanwhile Bangkok Business News reported that following data collection local health authorities would be door knocking in the next week to find out know needs what when it comes to vaccinations.

So far about 50,000 people in the aged/seven vulnerable conditions group of nearly 612,000 people have been jabbed.

It is hoped that 43 centers can be used to administer 13,000 jabs daily initially though this is hoped to be expanded.

The province has a population of about 1.2 million people and is one of Thailand foremost tourism areas.

A bulk order of which vax?

It's either Sinovac or Astrazeneca. These are the only two approved so far.

It seems that Thai people aren't keen on being vaccinated.

I heard it depends on your age if over 60 will probably not be the sinovac

But who knows at this time

That was in the initial stage when clinical data wasn't available yet.

Now Sinovac is also approved for 60 and above.

Nightnurse. It is a "special" vaccination for Covid, because unlike the others there is no record of it working, that's what makes it special. But it does help with your sleep.

Nice idea, believe it when its happened. So much changes so fast here its just all getting very silly.

It would be nice if this was indeed rolled out across ALL provinces. Time will tell.

I agree,

But feel it's just another empty Thai government promise issued in an attempt to placate the proletariat.

Reading Nancy's post it appears to have already failed.

I imagine that (for me) "proof of residential address" would be a Residence-Certificate, from the Immigration Dept.

(My name does not appear on any of the Bills for my house.)

UPDATE COVID-19 VACCINATION FOREIGN NATIONALS CHIANG MAI 14/05/21
However their communications systems have been completely overwhelmed by your kind responses;

I wonder how many means 'overwhelming'?

Did they mention whether we are allowed to choose the vaccine or not?

You get plans in place then you communicate about them...

you don’t communicate about plans first without them being in place and then you send a message that the communication system was overwhelmed with response and now not taking requests anymore

the whole thing has become a joke...and we expect you to  administer a quality product in a timely fashion with competent staff?

And the days and months roll by....

Overwhelmed just after a few hours. How many foreigners actually live in CM?

Excellent news if it turns out to be correct. Lets hope that the same thing happens across the country, though I am a little skeptical that it will be so easy.

I think it depends on what region you're in.. each seem to have a different take on things depending on population and their supplies.

If the PM was excluded from sinovac being over 59.

So should be everyone else.
