The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) has extended closures of several venues including schools until May 31st, with an exception of eateries which can reopen today (Monday), according to a BMA announcement issued yesterday.

Bang Sue Central Railway Station Will Offer Walk-in Vaccination Services in June

Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha has instructed Thailand’s Corrections Department to step up active screening of prison inmates and to treat sick prisoners humanely, like any other patient, as the COVID-19 surge continues in prisons, with cases found in prison surpassing 10,000 this month, said Government Deputy Spokesperson Traisulee Traisoranakul today (Monday).

Space junk fuel tank safely recovered off Phuket

PHUKET: Officers from the Royal Thai Navy Third Area Command successfully recovered a metal sphere from the seabed off Phuket today (May 17) that has now been confirmed to be a discarded fuel tank for a rocket, satellite or other object heading for, or already in, orbit.

Philanthropist businessman Prasit reports to police to acknowledge charges of public fraud

Businessman Prasit Jaewkok, who is well known for his social service, reported to the Crime Suppression Division (CSD) police today (Monday), to acknowledge charges of public fraud for allegedly operating Ponzi investment schemes, causing about one billion baht in losses to the investors.

Proactive screening conducted at Lak Si construction site

The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) has conducted proactive screening at construction sites and surrounding areas in Lak Si district. So far, 2,000 people have been screened, with 680 testing positive, out of 1,667 construction workers. 120 of them have been sent to hospitals for treatment, while the high-risk groups have been quarantined.
