Of course it's the tiny nail in the small toe which seems to be pinching into the flesh and keeping me from sleeping. Nail extraction, had it done once. Unpleasant, because nails tend o grow back uncontrollably.

With the title I had "artist" like you wanted a pretty design painted or something...????

Nails can be shaped and "packed" and trajned to grow a certain way. What you need is a good "Chiropodist"

I thought you were looking for someone to paint the Mona Lisa

on your big toe nail .

My wife does all my feet and nail stuff, she does seem to take

a lot of pleasure in using the the implement for taking stones

out of  horses hoof, digging it in the wick, pulled my big toe

nail off, when i dropped a spanner on it and it went black.

Maybe the local hospital may be of help to you.

Chiropodist at my age I'm always delighted to learn something new.

A chiropodist is a doctor who specializes in feet. In other words, a chiropodist is a podiatrist.

If you not only enriched my intellect but could point to where to find such rare species.

Great, last time last privat hospital was less successful

To be precise they removed a nail. Only after they had tried to talk me into=

Such procedure must be done in the large Operating room.

To cut a long toe story short, it took 2 years until the wound closed.

@Sheryl

Yet another great recommendation of yours:

Medical Foot Treatment

CNX & BKK

Although the insurance company had pre-authorized the surgery in a private hospital, the choice was for the German trained MFT. The logic being= no general surgeon could have a comparable knowledge to a specialist who has been for years taking care exclusively of feet.

The procedure went as expected.
