I've used both Lazada and Shopee for the past year or so and have to say I've not really had any problems with either app. I use them on my notebook, I pay COD. Both are in English and I find it's straightforward to track items on both apps.

Maybe I've just been lucky.

I use both Lazada and Shopee for comparison when looking to buy something and I've never had a bad experience with either of them. I only use the laptop, never an app. I buy from sellers who have sold the item many times before and hopefully have many reviews. The one thing I will say is that search works far better if you can use Thai, the difference can be amazing.

Based on search results of both Lazada and Shopee for spark plugs (in Thai) I bought from a Shopee seller this time.

They are operating in Thailand so none of that is really surprising. If a company as big as Microsoft can't accept a Thai Visa card on their US site, as they informed me yesterday, it doesn't surprise me that Shoppe doesn't accept foreign cards either.

Yep.  Learned too late.

However, getting credit of some sort should not take 8 weeks

No it shouldn't. I've never bothered with COD as I don't usually have cash in the house but that's quite annoying I agree.

But of course your experience is completely different to anybody elses, same as many other things you post in other threads, just weird init.

People will always have different experiences as people are not all equally good at IT and not everyone is as bright. So what is easy for one will be really hard for an other. If you were to ask me to do some home improvements id be telling everyone how hard it is while the guy that has been doing it a for a long time will say its a piece of cake.

Its just personal, I don't use shoppee myself but if read how many people complain about lazada while I have never had any problems there then id say experiences just differ.

So my first experience of Shopee was poor. Item was delivered ok yesterday but they just tried to deliver two more of the items again. Orders that were automatically cancelled somehow got resurrected and tried to be delivered. Never happened with Lazada

Stray from that and my experience is problems, spam and chaos.

Shopee is cheaper for most things, some times by a lot.......And their shipping is cheaper too........5 minutes of research will prove what I am saying......Just use COD and Shopee is just fine.......Using a card online is a one way ticket to hell in Thailand.....

I have used Lazada and Shopee LOADS of times......I know what I am talking about......They are pretty much the same, except Shopee is cheaper 80% of the time......COD is a necessity for farangs with either company...

Good point.......Use google translate (for the Thai word) does sometime bring up different search results....If your looking for rock bottom prices this is a good idea....

Yes Shopee are that good they have no record of the purchase I made and received COD, and no record of two items that were incorrectly sent and after extensive investigation... they've confirmed i rejected receipt of those two items which isn't what they were meant to investigate. I'll stick to Lazada whenever possible

Actually I do not find Shopee cheaper 80% of the time - but often yes - but Lazada allows sellers using multi names to spam the same product dozens of times at 3x normal price in hope a page full of the same high price will get a customer (making it very unfriendly to search).  Have not found COD a necessity at all - pay Lazada with CC and Shopee with bank transfers and have no issue getting refunds from either (although have to prove ownership of bank account with Shopee first time).  Have used Lazada for 7 years and Shopee for 2 and find them both good options if you check information closely and a lot safer they buying on social media platforms.
