BANGKOK (NNT) - The National Research Council of Thailand and National Vaccine Institute have revealed that more than 20 COVID-19 vaccines are being researched and developed in Thailand, while three candidates are undergoing human trials.

Don Mueang airport’s cargo terminal to open as new COVID-19 field hospital July 12

A cargo terminal, inside Don Mueang International Airport, is being converted into a huge field hospital with the capacity to accommodate 2,000 asymptomatic and mild COVID-19 cases beginning on July 12th.

JAKARTA (Reuters) - Indonesia has prepared backup medical facilities for a worst-case scenario where daily coronavirus infections reach 40,000 to 50,000, a senior official said on Tuesday, as the country battles its fastest-spreading outbreak so far.

Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha chaired the cabinet meeting today (Tuesday) via tele conference, as he began his self-imposed home quarantine in an army barracks, after he was in close contact with an infected person while presiding over launch of the Phuket tourism “sandbox” project on July 1st even though his recent COVID-19 tests were negative.

Thai Authorities Warn of Carcinogenic Fumes and Order Evacuation around Burning Factory

Thailand Exports Only 2.2 Million Tons of Rice in First Six Months of this Year

Industrial sector confidence index for June lowest in 12 months

The industrial confidence index for June has fallen again for the third consecutive month, to the lowest point of 80.7 in 12 months and from 82.3 in May, according to Federation of Thai Industries (FTI) President Suphan Mongkolsuthee.

Norwegian in Thailand asks his government for vaccine help

77-year-old Norwegian Knut H. lives in Pattaya, Thailand, and has still not received a covid-19 vaccine. He is part of a group of elderly Norwegians who are permanent residents of Thailand that hope that the Norwegian government will help them gain access to a vaccine.
