C.A.T Internet

Featured Replies

Once again the C.A.T. internet is down ,6 times in the last 10 days .Today is Sunday and no internet ,rang Chiang Rai and no answer .Rang call centre and told them ,there response was that we are a government workers now and we do not work on Sunday and if you want service we should find another provider!!!! Been the this company 7 years and this is their attitude..Any other people have had this response ..

I too am on CAT Internet. I am in southern Nong Bua Lom Phu and have fiber to the house. If one could see where I live, that in itself would surprise many. My internet has been down regularly since I arrived back from the USA on 5/15/2021. Our service is provided by a CAT contractor and while I have his phone number, I always get excuses as to what today's problem is. My issue is lack of SLA. If my internet is down for days - which is often the case, I still owe the same monthly amount. Until Thailand issues service SLA's (service level agreements) we are out of luck. If I lose power, which happens almost as frequently as CAT internet outages, I am not paying for the loss of power. Yes, one could argue that I pay a monthly meter fee but that is minuscule compared  to my daily kWH. The "best" internet I had was TOT iPStar. It was slow and expensive but it always worked since the down station was in Khon Kaen and they had/have a decent UPS back up system.
