webfact Posted July 16, 2021 Share Posted July 16, 2021 Picture: INN The Royal Thai Police spokesman has warned his compatriots about falling victim to ransomware attacks after IT companies in the US were hit with 2.2 billion baht in demands. Ransomware is malicious software designed to block access to a computer system until a sum of money is paid. Pol Col Krissana Pattanacharoen urged people to back up their important data and get the very best ransomware protection they could afford and update their systems regularly. He also warned people about clicking on links or files they are unsure about.
