stubuzz
Teaching the locals not stop on the island and give way to the left would be a good start! 1

Majority of drivers here seem to just head straight onto a roundabout forcing those already on the roundabout to stop. Education, education, education but I have my doubts that'll ever happen. d123
Looking at the photograph it would probably help if otorists followed the (Thai official) rules of the road whereby motorists give way to traffic coming from their right i.e. traffic already on the roundabout
d123
‘motorists’ not ‘otorists’????
Stargeezr
The road way is too busy for a round about, it needs to be changed to a lighted intersection. That is the only good fix for this location. Geezer
Destiny1990
That roundabout should have been tunneled years ago.
Popular Post madmitch
Comments about knowledge of using roundabouts aren't really relevant here. The police realise that it doesn't work as a roundabout and place barriers to prevent east-west traffic most of the time. This of course causes an even bigger hold-up as the road is too busy for a u-turn to function properly. It would be a good spot for an underpass, or move the monument and build a cheaper, quicker, overpass but going north, there are more hold-ups when you get to Thalang, going south there's the u-turn lights near Boat Lagoon, one of the more annoying sets of lights on the island. Basicall, Thepkrassattri Road is too busy. What's really needed is a relief road.
poskat
when I first glanced at the title, I thought that some traffic cops had made a drug bust....
