Best face masks for the tropics

Featured Replies

Hi, at long last I am planned to arrive back in Thailand next month.

So I thought I would ask those of you already there if there is a make of face mask that suits the heat and humidity better. I already find some in CH to be less than useless and god forbid I put on my sunglasses or reading glasses, I then feel like I just walked into a steam room.

Any advice on your experience of this annoying but currently unavoidable issue would be appreciated.

Whichever one is cheapest or most comfy, whatever suits u. It’s all for show anyway

Get one with a vent.  Protects you.  And you can breath and doesn't fog up your glasses.

if you wear glasses and become foggy, get mask with valve and under it any other one.

wearing 2 masks is now common in thailand.

Do NOT get one with a vent.  The vents allow your filthy air to go out, increasing risks of passing things on to others.  Vented masks are not approved in the USA workplaces where masks were required. The vents do not filter outgoing air.
