Filipino Golf leads in Tokyo

Bianca Pagdanganan from the Philippines had a great start on day one of the Olympics Ladies golf in Tokyo.

After two holes she leads the tournament with two birdies on the first hole.

Fellow teammate Yuko Saso has just teed off.

With a field of just 60 both players have an excellent chance of getting a medal during the four-day championship event.

Yuko decided to miss the Evian Championship in France to prepare for the Olympics and has been in the city for two weeks, even playing a practice round before the Men’s Olympic started, so she is well prepared.

Yuko’s regular caddie suffered from heat stroke earlier this week and so the Philippines team coach is now on her bag.
