Depending on where you are of course. Where I am, it is as black (dark, lightless..) as..............what can I say these days?....................night!

Been possible to see them for a week or so, and will continue for a few days more. But you are correct that tonight is the night they peak.

 

Sat out a few nights ago to watch and only saw one. A big one. Then realised that I could not see the Perseids from where I was as there is a big hill in the way.. I was looking in a different part of the sky.

 

Might try again tonight if not tired.
