Picture Daily News

Daily News reported on the latest cabinet meeting chaired by Thai PM and defence minister Prayuth Chan-ocha via video conference.

The PM called for the health ministry to have a clear plan for vaccine procurement for 2022 and to start on that now.

The PM stressed advance planning and transparency in providing first, second and third doses of vaccine.

This was needed to prevent confusion, he noted.

This has proved to be difficult so far, he said, because of dealing with producers.

But he claimed that so far "we have done quite well".

But next year it needs to be good.

He said he was concerned about the supply of Astra Zeneca as some of it would be out of date this month. Again he ordered the MoPH to get moving.

The ministry assured the PM his word would be done and no vaccines would pass their sell by date.

It was noted that the MoPH had assured the country that 70-80% of Thais would be vaccinated by the end of the year and he called on provincial authorities to make sure they were vaccinating the population with deliveries they were given.

He warned against corruption in the vaccine delivery promising especially in the repetition of names  that people found guilty would lose their jobs or be forced to resign.

Do you think so ?

Try telling that to the families of the deceased, and those still suffering, with numbers rising daily, all down to your incompetence.

Yet many locations are saying their deliveries and amounts have been cut. Or not delivered. Whose lying. Maybe they all need sacking including the Czar

"we have done quite well".  Clearly this must have lost something in translation!

"But next year it needs to be good."  It needs to be effective!

How come there are doses of AZ vaccine lying around on shelves going out of date, when "farangs" in Isaan cannot get vaccinated for love or money!  The man needs to go!

Rip Van Winkle syndrome at play here. Either a typo or someone should tell him what the year is.

I suggest he asks Prawit. Surely one of those watches must have a year function.

As I said a few days ago .....  I expect Khun Prayut to come in and announce something to clean up this mess.

I can see he's getting frustrated and annoyed with producers, CDC, Ministry officials and Health officials.

seems they are not in coordination or planning mode. Why not draw up a detailed chart showing vaccine dates etc ...

Never fear....the Czar has assembled a team of the world's most respected specialists to save his job…uh….the country. This team of qualified, trusted, focused, and like-minded advisors remains at the Czar's side day and night..…guaranteeing that the government's enlightened and carefully planned vaccination plan will stay on track.

Yet he is the man in charge and oversees it all. Can he not see that it is he who should fix all, direct all and or be on top of it, just like any CEO. If he can not do the job then he needs replacing. Blaming those below him shows he has no control but wants to be seen as one that is in control.

Ah  but you assume they can  tell the time and read the numbers, i think a Mickey  Mouse watch might help them learn more easily, it would go well with the Mickey  mouse govt
