China is not even issuing new passport to their citizens.

I don't know how they come up with this ridicolous idea

TAT is still under the illusion that Thailand is a 0 covid case country, and all other countries in the world would want to establish travel bubbles with them. Delusional at all possible levels.

  • Hilarious. China, Hong Kong and Taiwan have an absolute covid zero tolerance. Why on earth would they consider allowing people to come to the covid capital of SE Asia?   I did 14 days in Kor

  • OMG we are back on this track ?

Unless they get EXTREMELY efficient in terms of processing visitors post-pandemic, they do not have a snowballs chance in hell.

The vast economic tourism fallout now underway will lead to more unrest, and more unrest will lead to more bad press, on top of the bureaucratic tourist nightmare they created to pointlessly "stop the plague".

I think many tourists will opt for Kabul or Beirut over Pattaya as the next happening hotspot.

Haiti is also in the picture.

In case anyone did not pay attention, Xi Xi Pings said that no Chinese will travel to the levels of pre-Coivd until after the Chinese Olympics and Elections next year.

So, any bubble will have to wait until Summer 2022.

This has been regurgitating.  For a YEAR AND A HALF!!!

Hence...again

Actually they had dropped the ball to replace it with a resounding  120 day deadline to open the country....whatever this may mean

This is the most deluded statement in a long time from the TAT; not an easy task. Why would South Korea agree to allow Thais in without quarantine in this travel bubble arrangement? Bubbles for brains more like it.

China is not only refuse issuing passports to its citizens, it recently outlined a new strategy to rob the rich to give to the poor. Thailand needs to pay attention to what its neighbour is doing. Because, if that strategy is successfully implemented, all Chinese would be the same rich or same poor, and guess who would have the spare cash to come to Thailand, or worse, for what purpose (my guess is illegal immigration)?

Sometimes I wonder if Thai politician actually read any real newspaper or watch any real news, it appears that they often do not understand what is going on around them. Always wishful thinking, yet the whole Europeans and Americans with more money ready to travel Thailand seems do not know how to attract them. Xenophobia o what?

Critical thinking is one of many skills lacking within Thai politicians.

TAT, please call 02-888 8888, it is Kasikorn's call center, they have some news for you.

Cool.  A couple weeks in South Korea this winter would be nice if Japan isn't open yet.  Sleigh bells ring, are you listening... ????
