I note that Novartis had its Inclisiran has been approved by the EU.

Its an injected drug, one  initially and one at 3 months.

I would be much interested getting it here as I have consistantly elevated LDL-C levels

Besides, traditional drugs have sometimes significant side effects.

Its also reviewed by the FDA I understand

Would be interested to hear if its being reviewed by the Thai Drug admin too.

Not yet. And Novartis AFAIK has nto yet applied to register the product in Thailand.

The drug is still quite new and there is no post-marketing experience yet so it would be premature to think its side effect profile is necessarily any better than that of statins etc. With any drug - and this was certainly so with statins -- there will be additional adverse effects that come to light only after the drug is approved and used on a large scale.  Clinical trials will identify adverse effects that occur at a magnitude of say .1 - 1%of users but once a drug is being taken by hundreds of thousands/millions of people less common effects invariably are identified, this was certainly the case with statins. Another limitation is that clinical trials often exclude people with other medical problems/taking other medications but once it comes to real world use, drugs are taken by people with multiple medical problems and on multiple medications, so again more issues emerge.

If if you have tried conventional meds and they haven't worked for you, then  it would make sense to go to some effort to get this new drug. But if you are scared off trying conventional meds because of what you have read about side effects (1) most people -- great majority -- do fine on them without any serious adverse effect and (2) this new drug will not necessarily prove any better in terms of side effects.
