snoop1130
BANGKOK (NNT) - The Prime Minister today inspected a newly built field hospital for critical COVID-19 patients in Bangkok, constructed and operated in cooperation between private agencies to help cope with the overwhelming number of patients. Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, Gen Prayut Chan-o-cha today led a group of officials on an inspection of the newly built field hospital for COVID-19 patients located in Bangkok. The facility, located in front of Piyavate Hospital in Huai Khawang, Bangkok is intended to accommodate red-coded COVID-19 patients in critical condition. The 120-bed facility is equipped with ventilators and dialysis machines, along with other instruments to provide patients with intensive care. The new field hospital was constructed as part of the Same Breath campaign launched by the PTT Group, Thailand’s major petrochemical business. The group has spent 1.7 billion baht in financial support and worked with privately owned Piyavate Hospital and Bangpakok Hospital Group to run this facility. The group also helps manage proactive COVID-19 testing teams to provide COVID-19 screening for 1,000-1,200 people daily, with people testing positive immediately isolated and provided with treatment. On this occasion, the Prime Minister thanked all firms and agencies involved in helping fight the COVID-19 pandemic, saying the campaign is of great merit to the country, and reflects the compassion of Thai people who always help out one another in a time of crisis. The Prime Minister urged everyone to strictly cooperate with health and safety measures, in order to allow the country to move forward to the New Normal. -- © Copyright NNT 2021-09-09 - Whatever you're going through, the Samaritans are here for you - Follow ASEAN NOW on LINE for breaking COVID-19 updates
Popular Post ThailandRyan
Here is a question that I have after reading the article. If this Government believes the cases are declining and they are on the way to winning the battle in the next few weeks, why are they opening up an ICU Covid ward when the case numbers in the ICU are also dropping for those on ventilators, or is there something they are not telling anyone.....Are they expecting the worst because of the risks they are starting to take? 2

It could be a side effect of this government's "Yesterday's Treatments Tomorrow!" policy. Or maybe they've finally learned when it comes to deadly pandemic viruses that it's best to err on the side of caution??? Wait... Is that Anutin in the background? Nevermind.
