The Central Administrative Court has ordered Thailand’s anti-graft watchdog, the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC), to reveal its findings from an investigation into the expensive wristwatches seen being worn in public by Deputy Prime Minister Prawit Wongsuwan. The ruling was read yesterday (Wednesday).

The court ruled that, the disclosure of the findings about this case, including witness testimonies and Gen Prawit’s own testimonies, will demonstrate the transparency and accountability of the NACC and will enhance public trust and confidence in the agency.

The court also ruled that the entity or individual who initiated the case in the court has the right of access to information of state agencies and it is the duty of the state agencies to disclose the information in accordance with Sections 41 and 59 of the Constitution.

All in good time...

No doubt they wrote to all of the watch manufacturers of the high end watches which would all have the name of the owner, asking who was the rightful owner and they all replied that it was the fat cat, but they wouldn't dare disclose that information because he said it he borrowed them from a dead mate and they can't contradict what he said.

So they have to stick with blame it on the old dead mate trick.

The NACC will reveal bare its janitorial supremacy by sweeping it all under the carpet.

and the fact it required a court order to do so really inspires confidence

They have no time for such matters

Just the last 8 months will do

It's amazing the they exempted themselves from any such scrutiny

I'd like to see a full audit of all the emergency budgets they have passed in the last 8 months - every satang fully accounted for

LMAO ????????????????

It's too late. Judging by comments I've been hearing more and more of recently from younger Thais, there is no transparency or accountability here and trust and confidence have both been lost a long time ago.

Guys, time to wake up and smell the coffee. There has been too much greed by too many people for too long and this has broken many people's hopes for the country and the future here.

People now understand that this is all just for show.

More pointless investigation if you can call it that .

They spout off about doing this and that to find the truth and uphold the law and everyone knows the outcome no matter how long it takes .

None of them will ever be found guilty of any wrongdoing as they have set it up to protect themselves from just about everything and any investigation etc into them or their finances will be shut down as a threat to the country and the person or group threatened with court or jail.

It is always bad when control bodies, which should actually be independent, do not work properly. When control bodies are only receiving orders from the people they are supposed to control independently. So there will be definitely no transparency and trust.

Just because 3 of the 8 members of the investigation thought there was a case to be answered. doesn't mean he might be guilty, maybe some envelopes got lost in the post?

All the watches were owned by an old dead school associate

The NACC declined,, to make public the full details of the findings.

What could possibly be wrong?

Overly long sleeves and cuffs I believe... I see a cover up!

Nothing more important ?

Who cares about some wristwatches ?

They are all corrupt , what's new ?

Is this as a distraction from people commenting on The Plastic Bag  scandal, the aircraft use scandal?

Throw them an old case already resolved and they will be happy?

I bet there are some report writers working feverishly to get something together that does not smack of being opaque
