Dental work requiring local anesthesia post covid 19 vaccine

Featured Replies

Anyone know if its safe to have dental work requiring anesthesia just a few days after covid-19 vaccination?

Thanks

Certainly safe for the patient. No reason for it not to be.

However the dentist might well prefer not to work on someone who is not at least 14 days post full vaccination.

Can you explain a little more in detail why the dentist might prefer that it is at least two weeks since his patient was vaccinated?

Because it takes that long to develop immunity after vaccination. Just a few days post vaccine you aren't protected

Ok, Thanks
