How long can PM Prayut remain in power?

Stupid topic.

He can stay as long as he wants.

  • He has been in power for 7 years too long already. The sooner he goes, as long as democracy can be restored, the sooner Thailand can try to start to move forward again.

  • As long as the Puppet Master wants him to be.

  • He can just change the law again. This is what he does, he breaks the law (like when he stole power from the elected government in 2014) and then he simply rewrites the rule book to pardon himself.

He is on the mission from god to return happiness to the Thai people.   But the happiness is so elusive. ???? Not his fault.

Absolutely. The blame rests squarely with the Thai people. Who despite Uncle-General-Czar's brilliant and inspirational leadership....just refuse to be happy.

The sooner he goes will be better for the population of Thailand...

As it's always been - for decades.

And most still don't get it - how the mechanisms really work.

At least Prayuth can not become President.......

No, he can't... It is naive to believe there is not an established support network behind him -- if he loses that, then they have to find someone else ... or allow it to transition temporarily to a 'democratically elected' government for a few years.

.....and the network has been winning for decades.

There are stirring rumours and speculation as to what might become of the Thai Machine if the network were to suddenly become defunct or inactive.

Democracy. Thai sty.

Dictators seem to do that. Don't they
