Popular Post snoop1130
BANGKOK (NNT) - The Minister of Justice has expressed his satisfaction with the work of his office over the past year, pointing out it had received good cooperation from other agencies and that it is confident in its performance next year. Minister of Justice Somsak Thepsuthin, elaborated in the office’s “Proactive Justice for the People’s Happiness” performance report, that the ministry was able to reduce the number of prisoners in jails through special amnesty programs and sentence reductions; carried out occupational training for inmates to immunize them from repeat offenses and established a pilot detention industrial estate set to receive 16,000 individuals for work reform. These achievements cut 336 million baht from annual expenses while generating 1.933 billion baht. They also meant building five prisons could be avoided, saving 7.5 billion baht. The ministry successfully redrafted outdated laws and submitted them for review and approval by the Senate. Legislation passed into law included a new Illegal Narcotics bill, which classified Krathom as a commercial plant in August. Next year, the ministry will begin by focusing on high end cars, with the Department of Special Investigations poised to tackle cases involving 1,428 vehicles worth a combined value in excess of 9.71 billion baht. It will also devote attention to narcotics, online gambling and the smuggling of tobacco and alcohol. The minister remarked he was satisfied with the past year’s performance, especially the cooperation his office received and the lack of complaints. He voiced confidence the ministry would achieve its goals next year. -- © Copyright NNT 2021-09-30 - Whatever you're going through, the Samaritans are here for you - Follow ASEAN NOW on LINE for breaking COVID-19 updates

Just rubber-stamping everything the junta does despite its obvious lawlessness. But its always nice to get praise, even if it's only from within.
Srikcir
"Proactive justice for the people's happiness" Shouldn't the goal of justice be for the people's democracy? What does "happiness" have to do with dispensing justice unless it favors a particular political spectrum? And as we've seen in various court decisions (eg., dual pricing for foreigners because they can afford it), the "people" does not include foreigners. And what is "proactive justice?" Is the opposite "inactive justice," eg., court decisions are not issued? Judyices should just do their job. I would expect "neutral justice" in a democracy wherein the happiness of the court's decisions is irrelevant!
RubbaJohnny
Madame Rubba suggested it was unfair I mark my own homework, so on my next trip to nana Pleasure , I'm annointing 2 extra "judge-cum-hostesses" like Ice skating referees with numbed cards, to score my performance. I'm hoping for top marks or at least correction to pint me in the right election and opening.Luckily in that neighbourhood there are many professional who "Know the Score"
