MYSTERY surrounds the death of a Russian woman in Thailand who was killed in a motorbike crash just two days after posting a cryptic Instagram message.

Pals say she lost control of her motorbike and could have been spooked by an animal that ran out into the road.

But just two days before, in what was her last post on social media, she curiously posted a picture that appeared to prelude her untimely death.

Showing an horizon at dusk, she captioned the post to her 2,288 followers: "Sleep is a gentle death."

It had also come just months after Alina's lost her own mother which, according to those close to her, had left her deeply saddened.
