BANGKOK (Reuters) - Thailand is aiming for economic growth of about 5% in 2022, driven by private consumption, government support measures and infrastructure investment, its deputy prime minister said on Tuesday.

Higher private investment applications also suggests investor confidence in the Southeast Asian country, Deputy Prime Minister Supattanapong Punmeechaow told reporters.

Good estimation. Now lower it 90% and we have the truth. If you not believe me, ask the big dog at TAT?

What no 100 billion tourists in 2022 to rebound GDP. Has this man not spoken to the excellent TAT?

2021 is a very crummy economic year for Thailand.

If 2022 is forecasted to be only 5% better than that, it's basically: same excrement, slightly less stinky pile.

Untrue, TAT will soon announce 1 billion billionaire tourists coming next year, spending a whooping 657 trillion baht in the first quarter.

The government is just being cautious...

Dream on.....

Ah, so many targets, so few hits.

I understand Thailand will be spending billions of dollars on upgrading all airports in order to handle the huge influx of private jets that the millions of visiting billionaires will be arriving in????Probably devastate the taxi mafia????
