I take on board your “limited data” note, but it is with this “limited data” the authorities are calling the shots

Exactly data is driven by the testing, nothing else and we know how poor thats been.

It seems that quoting posts from yesterdays threads is becoming a thing, hindsight is wonderful. The 5 day trend in official cases was indeed rising and had been for 5 days as you quite rightly pointed out, and again as you point out today it it went down, ie a slow bumpy ride down which is exactly whats its been in the overall trend.

Very similar to @Kadilo making his daily up and down analysis of worldometers

No, not similar at all. I show the daily figures with an up to date link whereas the other was just a gusstimate (????) which changes with the wind as pointed out by the previous poster.

Word around the campfire is many countries will be switching from pandemic to endemic this coming spring.

As with all other pandemics of the past, this has morphed and is stable and should just stay right where it's at.  There are very few variants now, and only one new that has no effect and isn't spreading.

It's just a matter of time till this is all over.  Vaccination rates will dictate how long till this ends in your current country.  The vaccines are so incredibly effective against this virus.  It's important to really consider how fortunate we are, and all the research that went into these corona viruses before this all happened.

No doubt one of the regulars will ask you for a link to the camp fire. ????

Let’s hope you are right.

Agree with your summary of fortunate we are and how grateful we should be for the amazing work gone in to get us to this point from all involved.

Old news actually. Been discussed many times and is why the phrase l"earning to live with Covid" is used. But hey you want a link and believe one 9f us will ask because we are not appreciative of all dine to get where we are going here you go:

This is the latest, been being discussed since August on many medical sites and then some. However, it has no bearing on cases or such. Just means it is here for the long haul.

Sarcastic nonsense  baiting comment that undermines the whole point of his reasonable and logical post

I have news, you are a regular.

One that taken a non bias posting expressing a valid opinion which is following the science and turned it into a point scoring opportunity against other regular posters.
