The 5 day trend in official cases was indeed rising and had been for 5 days as you quite rightly pointed out, and again as you point out today it it went down, ie a slow bumpy ride down which is exactly whats its been in the overall trend. Very similar to @Kadilo making his daily up and down analysis of worldometers No, not similar at all. I show the daily figures with an up to date link whereas the other was just a gusstimate (????) which changes with the wind as pointed out by the previous poster. Look at the number of deaths now and the number of deaths as of April 1. Subtract the number of deaths as of April 1 from the number of deaths now and you will get a total of deaths for this time period. This is lower primary school mathematics. Fact is Thailand has had AROUND 4.5k more 'official' deaths in this period than the UK. https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/country/uk/ https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/country/thailand/ Edited November 7, 2021 by dinsdale

I saw no "gusstimate" in @ThailandRyan post, can you point it out. His post was based on the official daily numbers, no link required plus the chart is also there for easy viewing, no link required.

Have you looked? Can you confirm that Thailand has had more deaths in the period April 1 to now which of course is the Delata period. If so then you know that Thailand is above the UK for deaths in this period and not below. It is now part of history that last year the UK, USA and Europe handled the outbreak very poorly and that SEA was pretty much unaffected. Enter Delta and things have changed. This is why when you look at aseannow everyday you see the death toll related to the period April 1 to ...... "Thailand's death toll from COVID-19 stands at 19,664 since the start of the pandemic and 19,570 since April 1." 6

Does the left hand know what the right hand is doing ,on 1st November Thai morning news said as of 31st October , 63% of the population had received one jab ,and 46 % had received two jabs fully vaccinated . That was now a week ago ,that figure will now be higher . Now,is it a case the DCD are right ,and Thai media are exaggerating the figures . I would say Thai media is well wrong ,but where did they get their information from ,a government sauce . It would be nice if every one was singing from the same hymn sheet. 2
Blumpie
Word around the campfire is many countries will be switching from pandemic to endemic this coming spring. As with all other pandemics of the past, this has morphed and is stable and should just stay right where it's at. There are very few variants now, and only one new that has no effect and isn't spreading. It's just a matter of time till this is all over. Vaccination rates will dictate how long till this ends in your current country. The vaccines are so incredibly effective against this virus. It's important to really consider how fortunate we are, and all the research that went into these corona viruses before this all happened.

No doubt one of the regulars will ask you for a link to the camp fire. ???? Let’s hope you are right. Agree with your summary of fortunate we are and how grateful we should be for the amazing work gone in to get us to this point from all involved.
