soi3eddie
Just looked at their website (works well). Roundtrip from BKK/LGW/BKK on 16th & 21st December for 14,850 Baht in economy with no baggage, no meals or no seat selection. Not a bad price but Gatwick is a deal breaker for me. If it was to/from Heathrow then a definite consideration. Choosing ScootPlus (Premium) with food and 30K baggage was 27,762 Baht. An interesting time to be starting a new route. Any competition between Bangkok/London welcomed to keep other carrier's prices in check. Especially when direct non-stop. 1
scubascuba3
To LGW arrives 8pm, not a good time if you then need to use the tube and train. To LHR better time 7am but via Singapore. Prices are certainly low, 1 way example below Edited November 12, 2021 by scubascuba3
treetops
I don't think it's the first as AirAsia X offered flights a few years back, but hope it works out for them.
WanderingWhere
Always good to have more competition, regardless of if you're going to fly with them. I was messing around on their website putting random dates in just to see prices and got this. Seems pretty good. We were paying US 900 pre covid to JFK and return on KAL which despite being tight on booze and mediocre food it's very well run. Website is excellent. 22-24 hours in flight and transit one way During covid now ??? 1050 give or take. howerde
Not looked, but the seat dimensions on low cost carriers are usually smaller then standard, someone posted on another forum, that if you are a large size, you need to book 2 seats, or you maybe refused boarding or upgrade
The Hammer2021
Gatwick is a great Airport compared to Heathrow. The Gatwick express gets you into central London in 15 minutes.
