Suspected drug trafficker killed, 6m meth pills seized in Chiang Mai Saturday

Security forces shot dead a suspected drug trafficker and seized about six million methamphetamine pills, or “yaa baa”, from his pickup truck, following a wild car chase from Mae Ai to Fang districts of Thailand’s Chiang Mai on Saturday night.

Swiss man high on drugs arrested after going berserk at Koh Chang homestay

Phuket marks 50 new COVID cases, one new death

PHUKET: The latest Phuket Provincial Public Health Office (PPHO) daily COVID situation report has marked 50 new local infections confirmed across the island yesterday (Nov 14) bringing the total number of people recognised as infected with COVID-19 in Phuket since Apr 3 to 16,303.

Since Thailand reopened on November 1st, it has attracted more than 40,000 international travellers. The usually popular beach town of Hua Hin, in Prachuap Khiri Khan province,has, however, only seen eight foreign tourists arrive.

Thai economy contracts in the third quarter due to pandemic effects
