Hundreds of Pattaya business owners file formal request to Chonburi Governor, Pattaya Mayor, and the CCSA to allow alcohol sales at venues

Business operators in Pattaya and Jomtien have formally handed letters and petitions to the Chonburi Governor and the Pattaya City Mayor, which will also reportedly be presented to the Center for Covid-19 Situation Administration, asking to allow alcohol sales in restaurants before the New Year and for Pattaya to be allowed a similar program to Phuket or Bangkok which currently allow sales and have seen many venues spring back to life.

Weekly antigen COVID tests required by private schools, but not Education Ministry’s requirement

Several parents have complained about the costs of weekly antigen COVID-19 tests required by many private schools, even though it is not a requirement by the Education Ministry.

UTCC projects 9.15bn baht cashflow this Loy Krathong festival

BANGKOK (NNT) - The looming Loy Krathong day this Friday has received the go-ahead from the government for celebratory events to be held this year. The University of the Thai Chamber of Commerce is now expecting a 9.15 billion baht cash flow from this year’s festival, a spike of economic activities but still the lowest in 10 years.

OPM Permanent Secretary opens Krabi Damrongtham Center

Thai cabinet approves nomination of 6 parks, mangrove forest as UNESCO World Heritage sites

The Thai cabinet, at its meeting in the southern province of Krabi on Tuesday, endorsed a proposal from the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment to nominate six national parks and a mangrove forest in the Andaman Sea to the Tentative List of UNESCO World Heritage sites.

Phuket Health Sandbox approved with B85mn budget

PHUKET: A team of rescue workers scouring the waters off Mai Khao Beach for the body of a man who jumped from Thao Thepkrasattri Bridge on Saturday had a scare yesterday (Nov 16) when they spotted the body of a dugong floating in the water.
