All schools and educational institutes in Thailand’s north-eastern province of Khon Kaen have been ordered to close until January 14th by Governor Somsak Jungtrakul. This Saturday’s National Children’s Day has also been postponed indefinitely over COVID-19 concerns.

Citing rising COVID-19 infections in Thailand’s north-eastern province of Ubon Ratchathani, Governor Pongrat Phiromrat has ordered the closure of all schools, cinemas, fitness clubs, gyms, stadia and sports grounds from tomorrow (Tuesday) until January 17th.
