The Trans Am was also known as the Screaming Chicken…

We used call all Asian cars rice burners way back when .

But those of us eagle eyed can see it is obviously an Eagle, a Firebird......🤭

It’s a phoenix not an eagle. Trans Am is a souped up version of a Firebird, same car. The car in the photo is a TransAm aka Screaming Chicken.

Could well be, but does it look like a chicken or an eagle....?  🤭

Screaming chicken is a nickname, probably created by the Chevy boys....:clap2:

It would seem that many of you EV-ers here, going by this EV thread, are very interested in the Celerio (which is Latin for Swift), so may I suggest you go book a test drive..............:clap2:

Yes, a Celerio, Latin for SWIFT, the previous version of the car, which I corrected you on yesterday....😉

Again, still going on with your false narrative of correcting me.  This is why I don't reply to your post, as you go on and on and on, repetitive of nonsense.

2 models, Celerio & Swift, made by Suzuki, and nobody cares what it translate to in or from Latin.   Dead language, and appropriate for soon to be dead manufacturer if they continue putting out overpriced crap.

Might have to put you back on that list, spare everyone from you silliness :coffee1:

You are good for a chuckle though.

I hope they upgrade the specs, because that's just embarrassingly slow :cheesy:

Bothe the Celerio, spec below, and Swift, specs in quoted post below.  Especially compared to MG3 HEV, at about the same price.

Max Power 65.71bhp@5500rpm
Max Torque 89Nm@3500rpm

Swift .. @ ฿567,000

You can call it 'Swift', but it's not

Maximum compression (PS/rpm) 83/6,000 :cheesy:

Maximum torque (Newton-meter/rpm) 108/4,400 :cheesy:

And On Topic as always .... the new MG3 HEV @ ฿579,900

Engine: 1.5-liter Atkinson-cycle 4-cylinder petrol engine with 102 PS and 128 Nm of torque

Electric motor: 136 PS with 250 Nm  👍 👍

Total system output: 194 PS

It seems you don't like being educated on how a brand makes a decision on a model name, like Celerio, Latin for Swift.......

Get over it chap, try sticking to EV's which is what the thread is about, not Mrs.T's choice of transport, which for some reason YOU and others keep bringing up, and very strange..

Reminds me of 2014 when I test drove this noisy car in the Netherlands and had to compete with Kia Picanto.

Fast forward 10 years later, the Kia is available and priced at 19k euro and Suzuki lost the competition and is no longer available. I wonder how long you have to wait for spare parts coming from India.

If you need a good short commute car, just look for a low mileage/year BYD Dolphin with plenty of battery warranty in store or wait for the Seagull.

The Suzuki Celerio is NOT a noisy engine, so I will dismiss your claim and move on.......🙄

No, course it isn't. Puny little three cylinder engines are known for their silence, especially under strain (which it is - all the time). Luckily on the very rare occasion when you can actually hear it is purrs like a cat.

Is that one maintained/serviced in India.........:clap2:

Now ask for the sound inside the car NOT in India.............🤣

Sorry I thought you said it doesn't have a noisy engine. Last time I checked the engine wasn't in the cabin - did they move it on the latest version?

It does read like you EV-ers here have nothing to talk about, and are enthralled by a Suzuki ICE ride....:clap2:

Great.............

Don't be afraid to ask any questions about Mrs.T's Celerio (Latin for Swift) CVT, now on 160,000km and 10 years old.................:clap2:

Confusion seems to be your trait, not to worry, I am used to reading  it...............🤭

Let me explain, our lad has a BMW X1 with a diesel engine, outside it can be heard, but inside, it is a totally different experience.

Now, you EV-ers don't get that noise thing, and YOU have probably forgotten all about that phenomena, eh..😉.............🤭

I am not an "EV-er" whatever one of those is.

I own a whiny 1.8l four pot Honda with a nasty CVT.

I also own a slightly better sounding 2.0 four cylinder turbo. But still nothing pleasant about the noise except for the odd turbo blow off sound that makes its way into the cabin.

The only good sounding four cylinder engine was the old Subaru boxer with unequal length headers.  All others are just "noise".

There is no such thing as a good sounding three cylinder engine. There is CERTAINLY no good sounding diesel engine on this planet. And ALL diesel engines are noisy - outside and inside - no matter how good the sound deadening is. Yet you seem to be bragging about the diesel noise as if we should appreciate it. How very strange you are. I've been in plenty of diesel BMWs including 7 series and you can hear it and it's not pleasant.

And please pass my condolences to your lad for buying an overpriced rattly heap of junk. Hopefully as he gets older and gains wisdom he will make better financial choices, although I am sure he likes telling people he drives a beemer (probably doesn't say it's the bottom of the range nasty rattly one).

So, more useless information about your bad ride choices and other stuff you know nothing about on this EV thread..................:coffee1:...................🙄

Not bad ride choices at all. They were both great value when I bought them.  One gets the wife and kids to school and back every day, reliably, and in safety and comfort. The other one has lots more luxury toys and a great sound system in it, it does 0-100 in 6.5 seconds or so and it gets me wherever I need to go, and best of all it doesn't rattle. Neither of them make good noises though because they are four cylinder petrol engines: I can freely admit that.

Whenever I am ready to upgrade or replace one of them I will make another good choice: it will be Chinese and it will be electric.

Funny you criticising others' car choices when you have a Celeriac and a bottom of the range diesel in your family.....

Again, I need to CORRECT YOU ... it's an ICE vs EV thread.   You really do have Aztheimer's ... yes ?  Never mind, you wouldn't know anyway.

YOU criticized your own car choice as it has CVT............😂

Another mistake, I do not OWN a car...........😂

So A BMW X1 is a bottom of the range SUV.........😂

Chummy, you are making yourself look daft..........😬

I read as intended ... one of the cheapest 'beamers', just so people can say they own one.   About the same as C class Benz.

I know a lot about ICEVs, since owning more than a few, and worked on them extensively.

Know plenty about the Celerio also, and why I would never own one, even if having limited finances, as better available for same price point.
