BANGKOK (NNT) - The state-run Transport Co has dismissed claims that it will suspend operations nationwide and has asked media outlets to refrain from spreading the misinformation to the general public.

The remarks were made by Transport Co President Sanyalux Panwattanalikit in response to recent online rumors claiming that the company has announced a suspension on all routes beginning tomorrow.

Sanyalux Panwattanalikit denied the rumors and asked the media to stop spreading false information that may cause confusion and misunderstanding among members of the public. The company is currently collecting evidence and will take legal action against propagators of false news.

The Transport Co also advises the public to follow updates directly from its website www.transport.co.th, its Facebook fanpage, or by contacting the company’s call center at 1490.
