They're not exploiting anything. They are reflecting the majority public opinion and medical advice.

Yes. Please explain what benefit was derived which isn't a benefit accrued to the population as a whole. Here we see politicians acting in good faith and for the benefit of society. Especially do explain how they are benefiting from pushing back against anti vax sentiment in a way which is inimical to the benefit of their populations. Provide references to bolster your story.

To be honest it does sound negative. I think this is great its time that the not vaccinated are learning that their choices have a lot of consequences. It would be even better if they start charging people for misinformation.

 

In my country we had antivaxxers putting a hit out on a doctor that explained the benefits of vaccinations. It has been long enough that these loonies are allowed to spread their poison and spread fake information.

That is why I posted the definition of exploit.

I posted this because I consider this to be a positive political trend.

My second post was to make sure it didn't get deleted as "non-Thailand related."

I posted the first definition that came up when I searched for a definition for exploit.

It was neutral.

Given that one of the main reason for lack of vaccinations is the government's seemingly deliberate poor management of the vaccine rollout and inferior vaccine selection, this seems unlikely.

Well it makes a change from those other political leaders exploiting anti-vaccine misinformation with the predicted outcome of large numbers of unnecessary serious illnesses, hospitalizations and deaths.

Maybe, but after a terrible start Thailand now has vaccination statistics comparable with the UK and US.

Also, I felt like community leaders and media were walking on eggshells trying not to offend the lovely vaccine hesitant.

There have been so many lies given to us over the last 2 years I'm not sure this is true is any meaningful way. I won't bother posting stats and links because people don't care but if you're under 60 and healthy your chance of dying or becoming hospitalized are negligible. 

 

Probably what the vaccine shills are saying is that your relative risk is 200% lower which brings you from 2 in 50,000 to 1 in 50,000. Not very impressive when you look at it like that.

 

If you're actually at risk consider the average age of death for COVID is around life expectancy so how much longer do you think this vaccine is going to prolong your life anyways?

The delta variant is still very much around. Australia experienced record deaths in a couple of states yesterday. The value of vaccines is very well established and their importance remains. Your qualification of under 60 is meaningless and ageism.

Anti-vaxxers had better get used to being discriminated against, on public health grounds. When infected, an unvaccinated person is far more likely to infect others than a vaccinated person. Vaccination does not prevent infection, but it does reduce the severity and duration of symptoms.

 

You are being discriminated against because you are refused employment in a hospital, dental clinic, or aged care facility? Makes perfect sense to me.

At best you can say these are temporary treatments which require multiple shots PER YEAR. None of this justifies the talk about mandates. Thus stop the shilling for these medical products and either get your shots or shut up about it.
