Given the various bits of historical information and some clarifications it would seem this individual has been deemed of greater interest not just because of his mafia style of death ! How did he fly under the radar even when he was quickly identified as a deportee from Canada and at the same time reportedly in Thailand on a bogus Canadian Passport ?

Maybe eventually worth a movie plot ? lol

Bangkok-based police, from the Crime Suppression Division, have been sent to Phuket to help local police in the investigation into the murder of a foreign man, who was shot by two gunmen, also believed to be foreigners, at a villa in Rawai sub-district on Friday night.

National Police Chief, Pol Gen Suwat Jangyodsuk and his deputy, Pol Gen Suchart Thirasawat, were in Phuket today (Monday) to discuss the case and the investigation with the local force.

Royal Thai Police Deputy Spokesman Pol Col Krisana Pattanacharoen told the media that the police chief warned police in charge of the case to exercise extra caution, as the gunmen are armed and considered dangerous.

Questions raised everywhere. But how did his killers know where to get him, he only arrived in the country on the 27th.

More intelligence than immigration it seems

Why do they think this? CCTV ?  Intuition ? Local witch doctor ?  Or one of those 'it just can't be a Thai' investigative things ?

I often think that where most countries train sniffer dogs to sniff out drugs, Thailand teaches them to sniff out money.

Last I read fit was plastic bags that did that kinda snuffing.

They found documents in the car he was driving.

Why not bring in Inspector Cluseau???? it’s not that complicated, Immigrant gangster deported from Canada, where he was allegedly involved in some big hits! Travels around Asia still involved in gangster “stuff” still had a hit out on him from his Vancouver days, probably on social media as they do, not hard to find when you run in those circles. Big and easy money for the hitmen. Game over???? why would RTP waste money on investigating as it’s doubtful the killers are anywhere close to Thailand now. All the RTP have to do is Google Bacon brothers Vancouver or Red Scorpians Vancouver, case closed????

CCTV ?

The unblurred videos are floating around. Most likely based on height, size and features of the gunmen. Not amateur. All over within 20 seconds or so. Before escaping it looked like one of them removed something from under the back on his car, possibly a GPS tracker.

Maybe while he was in the Gulf somebody installed Pegasus on his phone.
