RubbaJohnny
You do not state much which I respect. Many insurer's will reject pre existing. Others may only issue in your country of residence. If the purpose is soley tp meet entry and have no "real cover to rely " upon some of the sites say up to 70 others 99. Axa I bought is up to 74 If you have the "LINE" telephone app you can talk to LUMA here fee https://www.lumahealth.com/travel-insurance/covid-insurance/ This says up to 99 read details here https://misterprakan.com/en/pass/thailand-pass No Age Restriction We can insure from the age of 1 to 99. We have been working hard to find plans that will be suitable for everyone. I also humbly suggest you talk to a good broker in your own country. Raphael54
Two suggestions: 1. Your mom can use an insurance from her home country as long as it states that Covid-19 is included and that the coverage is for a minimum of 400,000THB 2. Or your mom can wait until the new 300 THB "Entry fee" is implemented. This "entry fee" will include medical insurance for tourists. It has been delayed from 1 April 2022 to a later date because of technical problems with the collection of it. But the principle has been approved. Govt is looking for a way to collect it through the air ticket but there are some international legal issues with it.

Do you honestly think that this unelected government is going to allow that 300Bt to pay for insurance for people entering Thailand in any way? biggles45
Have a look at Covid19.tgia.org A group of Thai ins companies set up plans to meet the entry requirements. It is CV only, not travel ins. The premium is NOT AGE related, but based on where u come from and length of stay. You can quote and buy on line

As suggested check Chubb is you can get their site to give a quote for 80 yo. Edited February 17, 2022 by scorecard
