Sky News has just reported that Putin has said he will deploy tacticle Nuclear weapons as soon as next Month in Belarus. Either a bluff or if it goes tits up Belarus will be targeted first in  Retalitary strike . That is of course if there stopped on route to Belarus by special forces. The west will be closely monitering traffic from Russia.

I have a feeling this would be a red line for the Americans, and they would have made that clear to Putin

Dismal reading on how Russia will continue to present a threat to the West for decades.

Dumbing down is their specialty.

Dumbing down seems to be the trend in the whole western world. Just look at the rise of the (extreme) right, if not outright fascism, in the USA and Europe. Lots of guys - and a few girls - are chomping at the bit to be next great dictator.

The dam threatening a nuclear power plant should have been a red line.

This is giving Putin the wrong message.

He will go further.

To be frank, the "threat" to the NPP by the dam is minimal to not say inexistent. a lot of things in this conflict are spinned out of proportion.

there are several reasons for this:

1- the NPP's cooling water reserve pool is full and normally doesn't deplete rapidly on its own

2- if the water pool was to deplete, there are canalisations and pumps to pump water from a deep spot in the Dniepr

So you think the Ukrainians should just go out and commit multiple war crimes, (murdering innocent civilians, sick people and schoolchildren) simply because the Russians do it?

Yes, I'm definitely going to disagree with you on that one.

no .... but I would go after any Kremlin office,  housing army personnel,  army accomodation,  fuel depots, train stations, and many other selective targets.  Not Children or the old and frail.   imo

Awesome firepower.

Holy sh!t! I wouldn’t want to be a hapless Russian soldier when that comes raining down. All those little ghosts (or whatever they are) appearing at the end of the video I find a little morbid, though….

Yes there doesn't seem to be much concern other than the usual media hype, I heard the water used is also recycled until it is too hot, then fresh water is used again.

The evil that is Russia:

“Kherson flooding: Ukraine evacuation boat attacked by Russia, killing three”

There have been a few attacks on civilians evacuating, a UN staff member at one of them has also called it out.

Here's a couple of more heart warming tweets that shows another side of the devastation, not so much human but also the animals.

Whats that saying? Something along the lines of a country is judged by how they treat animals

International Criminal Court starts investigation into destroyed Nova Kakhovka dam

President Volodymyr Zelensky said on June 11 that the International Criminal Court had already launched an investigation following Russia's destruction of the Kakhovka dam in Kherson Oblast on June 6.

According to the president, court representatives have already visited Kherson Oblast and saw “with their own eyes the consequences of this Russian terrorist attack and heard for themselves that Russian terror continues.”

“The most cynical and brutal shelling of the flooded territory continues,” Zelensky said.

The brutality and barbarism of the Russians, as well as their hatred for Zelensky (Kryvy Rih is his hometown, which was bombed and at least 10 people dead) knows no bounds. How any western politician or citizen can still support Putin, or have even the slightest bit of sympathy for his brutal regime, is beyond me.

“Russia sets date of elections in newly annexed territories for Sept. 10, RIA reports”

Hopefully by then there will be considerably less occupied territory in Ukraine that Russia can hold elections in. But besides countries like Iran, Syria and North Korea, there won’t be anyone who will recognize the results of these “elections” anyway.

Possible negotiations in the Ukraine war: Stoltenberg warns of false peace

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg warns of a false peace in Ukraine. “We all want this war to end. But for peace to be lasting, it has to be fair,” he told Welt am Sonntag. “Peace cannot mean freezing the conflict and accepting a deal dictated by Russia. Only Ukraine alone can define the conditions that are acceptable,” added the former Norwegian prime minister.

In this context, the NATO chief pointed out that military successes in the theater of war would strengthen Ukraine’s negotiating position: “The more occupied territory Ukraine can liberate, the better cards it has at the negotiating table in order to achieve a just and lasting peace. “
