snoop1130
Photo from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Thailand Three of the first 38 Thais evacuated from Ukraine to Bangkok this morning (Wednesday) have tested positive for COVID-19. On arrival, all 38 were immediately taken to Bamrasnaradura Infectious Diseases Institute for temporary isolation. Public Health Minister Anutin Charnvirakul said today that the three infected have not developed any symptoms yet and are now being taken care of in the Institute’s quarantine centre, in accordance with treatment protocol. For the rest, he said that they will also be placed in the institute’s quarantine centre under observation, in accordance with the guidelines, which means that they will be subject to rapid antigen tests on the fifth day of their isolation and, if their test results are negative, they will be able leave for home on the seventh day, or elect to stay for another three days for observation. Karma80
Well, the other 35 will soon have it, just by roaming around Bangkok the rate things are going. And to be honest, the public attention has moved on from mild covid. The threat of WW3 will do that. Fair play to Thailand for getting them home though. Some other countries would leave you for dead. 1
mark131v
You take 38 Thais in any major town and if you bother your <deleted> to test them you will find covid, if you don't test them you won't I wonder if you can guess which one of the those options the Thai great and good have chosen to embrace....
DoctorB
It is truly difficult to think of a more absurd over- reaction. For heaven's sake, it's not the Black Death! Ask them to self isolate for few days and let them go home.
richard_smith237
Is the media so desperate for a story that they run with this utter juvenile tosh !!!!….
richard_smith237
I dont know if this is the media piggybacking on the Ukraine news or the combination of Ukraine & Covid which done genius thought was newsworthy…. But, the couple tiniest faux alarm at Covid cases brought in Internationally is so out of proportion to the ‘isolate at home & we’ll send a care package round’ response of domestic cases… We are not far away from ‘woman catches Covid in taxi’.., .. soon to be followed up with ‘taxi driver returns bag of cash‘ & then ‘we have Covid under control….. shortly followed by Chula Dr says Covid is out of control…., Edited March 2, 2022 by richard_smith237

harada
Something they may want to keep in mind before cutting back on restrictions and welcoming the Russian’s with open arms considering they are averaging 120,000 new cases daily in Russia, something that has Been conveniently forgotten since the start of Putins war.

MrJ2U
There's more chance of catching Covid in Thailand. Glad there back home safe. perhaps they'll be able to get a job at 7/11 or another dead end job that's so prevalent in Thailand.
