The ever increasing fuel prices are going to  have a knock on effect on what we pay  for many things.

You can blame Putin for that...

And anyway, is 57 baht really that expensive? Think about it, for that modest amount of money your beer has been brewed, bottled, packaged and transported through out the country. Not forgetting lining the tax man's pockets.

That sounds like little at first, but it's 400 baht a day!

200 a month for me.

I have always supported the local shop to buy beer.

I have no doubt I will continue to do that.

I also return the bottles . That is a little extra for the shop keeper

Well, I have sympathy for the OP: after all, B2 is B2 and it all adds up (he said with just a hint of sarcasm) but...

For the last year I have been buying Leo Strong Brew, for me at least, better than Chang and Leo tama dar!

Big C - B52 for the large bottle - I bought three, only two hours ago.

CHEERS!!

Maybe you could start a "Go Fund Me" to try and get some help from fellow members here to recoupirate your 2 baht

Not much chance of that I am afraid. Most of them are paranoid about go fund me schemes .

I will just have to tighten the belt

Lining the beverage company as they more or less have a monopoly .

Any way , I must go and have a  trip and buy a beer

I’m always surprised when posters have the temerity to call Leo, Chang, Singha et al, beer in the first place

Depending how thirsty you are, it might add up to 50 baht a day... ????

They cover themselves on the bottle - lager beer - in my opinion a contradiction in terms - don't they know it is LAGER, even though most Posters and

I think, just about all Thais, call it "beer".

But an earlier comment of mine might easily have contained within it that there is a discernible hint of beer in the Leo Strong Brew which is why I actually like it!

This has nothing to do with the OP personally. Just some of the posts I read in general.  Gee I didnt think the income of some expats was that low.  Where a very small increase in a price of a product can effect them .

I guess Im fortunate not to be in that position with my retirement income.

So you appear to be buying from a local shop, I assume a "Mom&Pop", in which case as they buy very small amounts at a time their delivery driver's fuel costs have gone up.  The supermarkets may absorb it but not the small local units.
