Three crew members of an oil tanker were injured and one is missing after the vessel caught fire following an on-board explosion at the pier of IRPC, a petroleum and petrochemical company, located in the estuary of the Chao Phraya River in Samut Prakan province this morning (Wednesday).

COVID-infected mothers can breast-feed their babies, but they must be careful to prevent the babies from becoming infected, by wearing face masks at all times, washing their hands before touching their child and avoiding sneezing while breast-feeding, according to Deputy Director-General of the Department of Health Dr. Ekachai Piensriwatchara.

Fire on oil tanker extinguished, one crew member still missing

Firefighters have managed to put out the fire on board the oil tanker “Smooth Sea 2”, as IRPC, a petroleum and petrochemical company which owns a pier near the explosion, gave an assurance that there is no oil left in the vessel, which is currently docked at the pier in the estuary of the Chao Phraya River in Samut Prakan province.

Plan to make COVID-19 endemic disease in Thailand from July 1 approved

Thailand’s National Communicable Disease Committee (NCDC) approved, today (Wednesday), the Public Health Ministry’s plan to classify COVID-19 as an endemic disease in four months, starting on July 1st, if things go according to plans.
