Nabbed! Former "win" and father of five holding up his local gold shops

The metropolitan arm of the Royal Thai Police were slapping themselves on the back in congratulations for a quick arrest of a gold shop robber.

 

Wasan or "Palm", 35, from Din Daeng was wanted after being caught on CCTV at an abortive robbery at the Petch Yindee gold shop in Ratchada Soi 3, Huay Khwang downtown Bangkok.

 

He had a gun, reported Manager.

Pressure on relatives mounted by police soon resulted in the suspect handing himself in along with all the evidence for a safe conviction.

 

In addition he admitted to two other robberies in the area in the last month and a previous case of assault.

 

He was pictured in "win" gear or motorcycle taxi wear - he used to be a win five years ago in the same Soi 3 area - in stills from the attempted robbery.
