Truck driver hits father and young daughter on motorbike in Pattaya, flees following the accident

A father and his daughter who were on a motorbike have sustained severe injuries after they were hit by a pickup driver who later fled the scene in Banglamung last night (April 5th).

 

Emergency responders were notified of the accident at 8:00 P.M. on Sukhumvit Road near the Thep Prasit Intersection in Nongprue.

They and The Pattaya News arrived at the scene to find the damaged motorbike on the road. Nearby, they found Mr. Erawan Inthasorn, 50, and his 8-year-old daughter. They had both sustained severe injuries and were rushed to a local hospital.

Leaving someone seriously injured to possibly die is as bad as committing the actual crime itself.

Much as I agree the person should spend 10 year in prison, I think - even with my limited knowledge of the law - an attempted murder charge may be hard to stick ! There should be just a 5-10 year sentence for leaving the scene of an accident and stick to it

Why do number plates just fall off here, no doubt DUI drugs or both, running away like kids is the norm here. I'm sure the Father and young kid were wearing helmets. Not.
