Instrument Lamp Replacement on old Fino

Recommended Posts

Had a search and look through manual and found how to replace all other lamps except the ones in the instrument pod of our old Fino.

There don't seem to be any screws visible so wonder if it just somehow pops apart ?

Any one know how to replace a lamp without breaking the pod?

Thank you

There are some videos in Thai language (mute if you prefer).

It looks like dismantling the whole instrument starting with unscrewing the speedometer cable. When you have unmounted the instrument the screws are below.

Some special screw driver involved ("star" screws? no idea how it's called in English).

See yourself, hope it helps.

Perhaps the  term you are looking for is "Philips screwdriver".

Thanks   KhunBENQ that looks like the job

Will have a go at it in the morning.

The screws look a bit tricky, I've got most variations of screwdrivers but don't know if I've got one of those Torx Security ones

Will find out in the morning.

Thanks again

Had a look and surprise I have Torx  that fits, and can reach in to the space.

The Speedo cable, a bit fiddly but feels like it should be easy to undo.

So, all set for when I can get round to it  :whistling:

Cheers
