Many foreigners like to marry Asian women, and most start by surfing the internet.

According to the 2019 Philippine Marriage Statistics released by the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA), 96.4% or 416,542 marriages in 2019 were between Filipino women and men.

Even over in Vietnam, since 2008 around 18,000 Vietnamese citizens married foreigners every year, 72 percent of them women.

The General Department of Population said following a 2018 study that the number of Vietnamese brides in Taiwan and South Korea exceeded 170,000.

Mail order  brides are something from 30 years ago

Rich people may still marry poor Asian Females , but they are more likely to use modern technology these days , like computers , rather than snail mail .

The mail order bride concept is rather dated these days

Are you suggesting women can't be bought?

While money may change hands for introductory services, mail order brides have long been illegal in the Philippines and the suggestion that a woman can be "bought" is ridiculous. Many men who have brought Filipina and Thai wives to Australia unless less than ideal circumstances have learned that lesson the hard way.

"Even over in Vietnam, since 2008 around 18,000 Vietnamese citizens married foreigners every year, 72 percent of them women."

while in Cambodia there are laws preventing old foreign men marrying your Cambodian women, and laws against certain nationalities (eg Koreans) marryng Cambodian girls.

and Laos has laws forbidding sexual relationships with foreigners. There are also lots of paperwork hurdles to overcome for foreigners to marry.

Of course the Chinese men have first choice of the white-skinned girls.....

Is that to protect the women from foreign men or protect the local men from competition?

Perhaps they just didn't have enough money to complete the purchase?  The very fact that there were issues once they got to the husband's country suggests he did not have enough money to maintain the relationship.  Or were they rich but argued over whose job it was to take out the trash?

That's the way forward, treat women as objects that can be bought.

Totally unacceptable, especially when you consider that all women want is a nice man that treats them right and don't care about money or status in the slightest! ????

(Hopefully my sarcasm wasn't too subtle there.)
