Pit Bull Attacks & Kills 67-Year-Old Woman Cycling in Pathum Thani
Kill it and all the other animals of this breed. Some people just never learn. This is a lethal animal; it is not a pet! -

Australian Aged Pension
Why, I'm an Australian citizen maintaining a property in Australia and I've been accepted by the ATO as an Australian resident for tax purposes those 6 years. If you disagree based on must work 35 years that is simply not true. My mother stopped working when she was 25 with 4 kids to bring up and she got the full pension after only working 8 years of her life. -

Are tiled-Thai roofs designed so that they will leak a little, during horizontal rain?
this used to happen with old tiled roofs in Scotland houses up to 1960s due to the way they fastened to the battens. This improved so it requires really high winds to get rain under them. Slates work better due to being far heavier. But I doubt such things are easily available in Thailand -

14-Year-Old Girl Fatally Stabs Grandmother Following Heated Argument
Quite a strange question. Another strange question would be: 'Did everyone you met tried to kill you in Thailand', or some other stupid question. But back to the topic that I raised, Thailand perhaps not being so civilized after all. In a non-civilized country, there is no respect for anyone..... This was my comment, nothing about everyone being rude. And as it relates to "respect", in a civilized country, the Golden Rule is the principle of treating others as one would want to be treated by them. So when you decide, for the first time, to drive on Thai roads, you will notice that it is the law of the jungle. Lucky to come back alive, but some are just not that lucky. People will speed, showing no respect for other people on the road. People driving so fast, cutting between vehicles, just to be ahead of one vehicle, with no respect for the safety of others on the roads. Small wonder that Thailand roads are the most dangerous country for driving on the roads. People will use the loudest vehicle possible, particularly motorbikes, showing absolutely no respect for others on the road, and no respect for others who might need to sleep during the day close to a main road. People will throw their garbage on the side of the road, while driving, showing no respect towards people living near roads. People will stop or park anywhere, as it suits THEM, showing no respect for other drivers having to stop, and try to go around a stopped vehicle, in the middle of a lane. People afraid of buying property, by fear of ending up near some people who live at night, and do not care about the noise, that others must endure. Or finding out that the neighbor has a dog that will bark nearly all night. And so on and so on. Just tired of repeating the same things for people who have no understanding of the culture here... And you are obviously one of them.. -

Thai woman claims Indian ‘businessman’ gave her STD
With the recent and unrelenting influx of Indians, let’s be honest - the rate of STD infection in Thailand is going to skyrocket. A quick ask of Perplexity AI reveals that: ”The rate of sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) in India is significant, with approximately 6% of the adult population diagnosed with STDs and reproductive tract infections (RTIs) annually. This percentage translates to over 30 million individuals affected, highlighting a considerable public health challenge” Ironic that the long term costs of such an open door policy will in the end cost more, much much more, than the few baht that this lot throws around. I can only shake my head in disgust… -

Taxi Suvarnabhumi to Silom rates
Well I'm not confrontational by nature, so I do not give a F, Since I was tired after a long travel without sleep, and just wanted to arrive at the hotel as quick as possible. Anyway, next time limo, even I can get a grab, just next line over the street against the parking, but same drivers, same deleted cars. To his excuse, it was rushour, and it is a deleted low life being a taxi driver, and since I aknownledge that, I also kind of imagine myself in the same deleted situation. If he just didn't go on the phone while driving, and drive like he bought the DL, I would had been happy. -

Thailand Delays Automated Entry System for Foreign Tourists
If you let people use it without asking for a QR code, there could be people using it with a non-imm visa for example, although it's specifically intended for VE entries, I guess. Travelers applying for a QR code will certainly have to acknowledge that this procedure is meant for VE entries only. -

Australian Aged Pension
Thanks so much for that, you’ve set my mind at rest, and convinced me to undergo the no doubt lengthy and complicated process of applying for the OAP. As a bonus, I don’t spend all of my 8 months overseas in Thailand, but spend nearly 3 months in Europe each year (just shy of the annoying 90 day limit of the Schengen zone). I realise I have to be in Australia when applying. As for the question of whether someone in my rather comfortable financial position should get the OAP, that’s another topic for discussion! -
