Drunk civil servant arrested after having a go at Nonthaburi officials at restaurant - 20K bail

Daily News Thai Caption: Those "charming" Thai civil servants!

 

Daily News reported on an incident of poor behavior of a Thai civil servant at a restaurant in Bang Yai, Nonthaburi yesterday.

 

In their photo caption they called the man "charming" - a fecetious comment. 

 

District chief Withaya had sent in his deputy Somphol Surasajja to check up on restaurants to make sure they were following the rules.

 

Near the police station they went into a restaurant where three men were drinking and eating near the counter.

One man dressed half in civil service attire was not happy. He started berating the authorities with foul language and whipped out his phone to start filming. 

 

He was belittling the authorities and was clearly drunk.

He wouldn't stop; at one point his friend had to put his hand over his mouth.

 

He said he was attached to the Ministry of Trade but refused to show identification.

 

It was so bad that the civil servant was arrested and taken to the Bang Yai police station for questioning where he denied charges of not showing his ID and defaming officials doing their job.

This is not a tragic story….he could have walked in and shot them to death for some perceived injustice that was done to him in his mind….in trouble but not the end of the world for him….

Drunk and disorderly becomes worse when people believe they are in positions of power and try to dissuade the people investigating them.  This man has probably never in his life been told he has been wrong on any front.  He needs to be spanked and made to wai and krap on the floor while delivering a basket of goods to the ones he wronged by his pisspoor attitude and then take a cut in pay for 12 months as well as being demoted for the shame he has brought to his department.  He should be made to scrub the toilets and hand carry his subordinates paperwork back and forth and from desk to desk.  The man needs to learn humility of which he has none because males in Thai Society get away with everything as they were raised this way and are enabled and empowered daily.....rant over.  Maybe he should just resign like Rector of Silpakorn University did after his comments on female flight attendants whose photo's he took......
