The easy way to tell an RCD/RCBO is the presence of a "Test" button, no button = no RCD/RCBO.

Where would i find a test button in an RCD/RCBO ? i assume in the electric shower unit. Thanks

Yah.  It is "normal' in that many Thai homes do not have proper ground to the receptacles.  And/or plugs are not 3-prong to use the ground.   Does the OP know the condition of his house (wit

Many modern shower units have them built-in (they might be called RCCB or ELCB, same thing) there should be a "Test" button. Otherwise look at the breaker which feeds the heater or your incoming main breaker.

Power that supplies your water heaters will come thru a circuit breaker. Usually a black thing with an on/off switch. This should have the 'test' button on it if it is an RCB or RCBO.

Just a heads up on the RCBO shown in your post.

I believe this to be an "AC" type and they have been or will be, banned from further use , at least in Aus and I believe in certain circumstances in the UK also.

This is due to the DC component leakage on the mains from electronic devices.

Effect is under certain circumstances, the torroid becomes influenced by this DC resultant flux and will not trip or will not trip at the expected earth leakage.
