Officers of Thailand's crime suppression division raided a luxury resort in the Khanong Phra sub-district of Pak Chong, Nakhon Ratchasima in the north east.

 

The authorities had been alerted to an online betting operation after being advised of an invitation on YouTube under the name "Jarok".

 

The whole resort in secluded hills comprising ten rooms including an office was the base for biz99.bet and aladdin.bet.

 

Eighteen administrators who earned 15,000 baht a month were arrested.

The operation had 900 million baht a month turnover and was raking in 20 million in profits a month, reported Thai Rath.

 

Electronic equipment and account ledgers were taken into evidence.

 

The site had been in operation for 4 years and moved to Thailand last year during the pandemic. 

 

It had a new feature not seen before, automatic cash withdrawal bypassing administrators.
