A female motorcyclist and her passenger were injured in a hit and run with a sedan in Pattaya.

Sawang Boriboon Thammasathan Foundation rescuers responded to a hit-and-run report in front of the Pho Samphan temple on Pattaya Road in the Na Kluea subdistrict of Banglamung, Chonburi. The report came in the early morning of today, June 14th.

Two female victims (name and age not provided) were found beside their damaged motorbike. The rider, according to The Pattaya News reporters, sustained broken wrists and tears in her knees while her passenger only sustained minor injuries. Rescuers also found a part of a car’s side-view mirror on the road and kept it as evidence.

This hardly happens ! what an incredible find !

Certainly was and I wonder who got to cook that fish that spilled onto the road ? But on a serious note yes it happens all the time and often it is the motorcyclists fault and less often the car driver. But irrespective of whose fault it is it is only utter vermin than leave the site of an accident that they were involved in. Hope they catch this driver.

He will show up at the police station as soon as alcohol/drug level is down. As usual.

Could be handled in a very simple way, but amending the DUI laws to state that if a driver leaves the scene of an accident, they will be charged with DUI, or the charge for leaving the scene will carry the same jail time as a DUI.

Should be instant jail term for hit and run.

Should be but won't be, as it's done by everyone and those who are more important than others by force of karma or corruption or whatever are above the law.

Fleeing the scene is a national sport here. Seen two myself in the last three years in Chonburi alone.

My old girlfriend was knocked off her motor bike

on 3third road pattaya years back,  car just accelerated away with her left in the road.

( just love the cowardly Thais on the roads here)

luckily she was ok,  just a few cuts and bruises.

and a few battle scars on the bike.

Nasty business hit and run.
