Thai Covid-19 Situation Center agrees to restore nationwide green zones, cancel Thailand Pass, eases mask mandate, and more

National/Bangkok — The Center for Covid-19 Situation (CCSA) has reportedly given the green light to restore nationwide green zones, cancel Thailand Pass, ease the mask mandate in open areas, and extend legal closing hours for nightlife outlets to 2 AM.

Thailand lowers COVID-19 alert from Level 3 to 2 nationwide

The Ministry of Public Health has decided to lower the COVID-19 alert, from Level 3 to Level 2, throughout the country, in line with declining new infections, serious cases and fatalities.

Thai gov to remove mask mandates for outdoors, scrap Thailand Pass in July

According to the Centre for Covid-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) on Friday, Thailand Pass will be cancelled, face masks will be “recommended” for closed and crowded areas, and entertainment venues will be able to operate normally starting on July 1.

UPDATE:

 

‘Thailand Pass’ registration scheme to be lifted from 1 July 2022

At the point of entry into Thailand, travellers will only need to show proof of either a certificate of vaccination or a negative RT-PCR or professional ATK test result within 72 hours of travel.

Bangkok – Thailand’s Centre of COVID-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) today approved the removal of the Thailand Pass registration scheme and an US$10,000 health insurance requirement for foreign visitors, effective 1 July, 2022. Both requirements were initially removed for Thai nationals from 1 June, 2022.

Thai FDA warns about advertising products with cannabis and hemp

Thailand –  The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) of Thailand has delivered a public warning about advertising products with cannabis and hemp, stating that doing so incorrectly could bring stiff fines and even prison time.

Taiwan/Taoyuan murder suspect to stand trial in Thailand

Bangkok, (CNA) A Thai man who recently fled to Thailand from Taiwan after allegedly murdering two business partners will stand trial in the Southeast Asian country after turning himself in to local police, a Thai official said Friday.
