Siam Rath reported that the Samrong Neua police in Samut Prakan had arrested a 40 year old Thai man following damage to cars at a housing estate.

Residents at the Thippawan estate had gone to the police and resorted to social media with CCTV in an effect to track down the person responsible.

Bantherng, 40, was arrested at the Sri Theppha intersection on his way home yesterday morning.

He admitted damaging three taxis and another car with rocks at the estate in the early hours of 16th June  and on the 18th damaging two other cars that were being driven.

He said he was drunk and his wife had left him.

He hadn't been to work fearing he would be arrested. Following police work, that has happened anyway and he has now been charged with criminal damage and detained.

He apologized for his actions.

A Honda Wave and one large rock were taken into evidence.

I hope that the victims in this crime get compensated, not just for the damage, but for the lost opportunity to earn money... such as the taxi drivers.

Let's not forget that if a tourist damages a rental motorcycle, the bike owner/shop will often add the rental fee for each day that the bike is off the road. It's harsh in some ways, but fair in others.

Another drunk, infantile and dangerous LOSER. Doubtful he has any means of providing compensation, so best to just keep him locked up for a good long time. If not, the wife will certainly be his next target, with deadly consequences.
