Big Joke flies in: Four cops arrested for taking million baht bribe to allow Chinese gang to film "live" erotic shows at resorts

".............a man called UU Guotro who was behind the whole operation managed to get away."

What a surprise there (not!) considering the amount of money involved

"Then the bent Chiang Rai officers were also arrested and charged."

I wonder how full the "Inactive Posts" section is these days, or whether we will EVER hear of the results of the charges?

So what is "Big Joke's" actual position?

He does missionary and doggy, then there's one where the girl stands on her head facing away but facing the other way and somehow manages to

... They needed the big payment for her 'tip'.

The officers took bribes to turn a blind eye to the operations of a Chinese led gang filming sex shows at two resorts in Muang district earlier this year.

still no word of the bribes for the constant - and probably ridiculously expensive - vinyl boards then ?

No wonder people pay good money to become a cop here, as it’s obviously very profitable to be one. And I’m willing to bet anything that this is just one of many scams/rackets that these guys have running.

Something smells fishy here. What is Big Joke doing in Chaingmai. It’s out of his jurisdiction; he’s based in Bangkok or has he been transferred again.

Oh heaven forbid he stepped outside the changwat boundaries, a royal commission needed on that item.

Are there not discreet simulated sex shows in Bangkok as well?

Albeit that those officers are of a considerably lower rank to him.

Well how is he going to puff out his chest and look important if he doesn't have any powerless underlings and victimless criminals to throw under the bus?

blue movies are done legally all over the world for tens of years.

Even if it's still illegal in thailand, it's a rather harmless crime (bar this one 17 old girl).

So police name their names, but not names of cops who took multi-million bribes.

Taking bribes is a serious crime (in all normal countries), that also includes giving them.

Thailand has many sex stars, police slap them just with some fines.

Mr Joke was too colorful when he decided to try and straighten Thai Immigration concerning fees from agents .

Best the mentioned officer watch his back in his latest escaped .

Escaped and Escapade are two very different words. Try and be correct otherwise people will get different meanings.

Cops busting rogue cops, nothing new here and no big surprise either in a country where corruption and bribes are the everyday occurrences...

Send the bent, South, there is plenty of bent going on down there.

Inactive posting for a few months to follow .......... What these Chinese film executives did not get - possibly lost in translation - is that such actors can be seen anywhere and everywhere in Thailand. Cultural temples of Patpong, Bangla Road, Walking Street etc. spring to mind.

So the whole exercise, if true, should be finished low key. Going to town with this "report" makes the Thai police looking even more ridiculous as they are already and are absolutely useless. Does it generate more tourism into Chiang Rai, does it make the police looking better - in Chiang Rai or elsewhere?

Actually not that expensive. Ten years ago we had many multi coloured banners printed at the old Pantip plaza for son's uni football team. Good quality, permanent printing on heavy plastic. Printed from a PowerPoint slide. About 220Baht each.
