I' m in the process of overclocking my new PC but had to run 3 programs to monitor voltages, speed and temps etc. some from my hardware manufacturer and others like 'Core temp v0.95'. All had varying degrees of accuracy.

I found this! Everest Version 4. It’s not freeware but you can trial it:-

It works well with my Gigabyte motherboard sensor (see capture - no overclocking here yet) The desktop display has many options including variable translucency etc.

There is one problem here and with other utilities. The 'deg C' character has been corrupted by my Thai language setting not sure how to overcome this. Any ideas?

The monitor that comes with my ASUS P5B mobo is great, it shows everything that you cans see in the BIOS. And I think it allows you to decide if you want it to independently make its own clock speed depending on usage and temperature.
